Locals Only; Remedy Hair Shoppe (+ a discount)
I used to be a hair dresser and one thing I've taken away from it is the higher standard I have for salons. I'm particular (code word picky) with service and technique and I've found a great salon (close by!) that fills both requests. Remedy Hair salon may be new to Center Street, but it's not new in business. Liz has owned Salon 9, the reputable hair salon in the historic Orange Circle, for 8 years. It's fitting she brings her savvy business skills to another historic area in Anaheim, Remedy Hair Shoppe.
It reminds me of something straight out of the set of Boardwalk Empire; it's a glamorous vintage inspired salon. To make the decor even more interesting, Liz, decorated everything herself. The unconventional salon chairs, the flooring, the dark room to wash and relax in, was completely DIY in less than 3 months. If you're in the area, walk in just to check out the salon decor.
If you're a local and familiar with Salon 9, the upbeat, fast paced and modern then Remedy is the introvert side of the business. It's calm, relaxing, and you can fall asleep getting your hair done easily. It's a great place to get the remedy you need for your hair, they specialize in treatments but they are offering hair cuts and color.
They carry Davines hair products, and when you walk into Remedy Hair, you'll get 20% off your hair products by mentioning "ourcitylights" until 10/31/13. I do get my hair blow dried once a week by Kathryn, and I highly recommend the salon (just don't take my appointments ;) ) . They offer packages for once a month to weekly with treatments.
For Disneyland fans, they're participating in Dapper Day and are offering a free treatment when you get your hair and makeup done with them. Stop by the salon for more details.
