Santa Barbara, on the iPhone

We recently took a little business trip to Santa Barbara courtesy of Living Social (like Groupon, but the Escapes packages are what make this company wonderful). We stayed at the Eagle Inn Hotel, a 5 minute walk to downtown and a shorter walk to the beach. It was a nice getaway- although, we do stare at our computers all day for work, but it's nice to look up to see a change of scenery every once in awhile ;)

We rode the Metro train  and I was able to see parts of California I'd normally miss out on if we drove. I couldn't help but wonder if this is what John Steinbeck saw when he wrote his love letters to California...
Then I come home to this...
It looks apocalyptic, more like Cormac McCarthy's The Road, rather than the dreamy visuals Steinbeck had in mind.
I took some photos with the Hipstamatic app. I forgot how awesome it is...
wearing a Rodarte dress in this amazing mirror. Seriously, I want my bathroom to be this grand.
What loser wears boots to a beautiful beach? Oh wait...
The view was first-class, but my husband was better company. Cheers to small getaways!
