I love you, Japan
Thanks everyone for the emails and texts this morning. I'm not in Japan yet. Our trip seems so minuscule compared to the events in Japan. We'd rather lose a few grand compared to our safety. I'm thankful to be home and safe. We were planning on staying in Tokyo, far from the devastation of Sendai, but not far from whatever Mother Nature has planned. Sending hope and prayers to Japan.
One of the reasons I've loved Japan is how strong of a culture they are. I know you don't need a history lesson, but after the devastation of WWII, they pulled themselves up and succeeded to be one of the most richest countries in the world at one time. That's an amazing reminder of the beauty that is Japan.
