like night and day.

I knew I was fairly down for a few months, but I didn't know just what it was. I recently made some changes in my life, like taking a break from the Internet, prioritizing my time, and I stopped coloring my hair. I loved the idea of it, but I felt more like an old lady (srsly, librarian-esque with glasses and cardigans isn't enough?).

If you know a little about the science of hair, a little damage is good for coarse curly hair to calm it down a bit and my natural was a little too out of control.

Well, I gulped my pride and self-righteous au naturale self and did go back to coloring, but this time, after a permanent formulation from a trusted stylist friend, I can color my hair 6 weeks instead of 2, and I'll admit, it was something that really helped my mood.

Like night and day, people!! Amazing what a little color will do to a woman. I remember when I worked in a salon and listened to client's stories- death of a loved one, loss of a job, break-ups, whatever it was, I was there to cheer them up. I guess they had the right idea. ♥
