Sunday's Best

I was tagged by K@Blog Goggles and hoping no one reads blogs on Sunday, I am posting the only dance I have a photo to. I was asked to go to Prom but I never showed up (yes, I know, terrible.) Luckily, the guy that asked me laughed it up (but probably was crying inside).

Yes, this was me. With a shaved head. I shaved my hair off when I was 16 and it was the best thing I ever did. I decided to grow my hair back a few years later, but it was so refreshing. I believe I was more feminine more then because my closet in high school consisted of vintage slip dresses, skirts and flowery dresses to make up for the fact that I had no hair.

In this photo, I was wearing a vintage slip dress, and that coat was handmade by my mom. HANDMADE. She worked hours on the red lining and seams and even though it was kind of big, I loved wearing it.

What happened to that coat? Someone stole it at a Christian camp! It was heartbreaking, more for me than my mom.
You know who you are, Personthatstolemycoat, i hope you enjoyed the craft of an overworked mother for you to wear MY coat.
I wouldn't care so much if it didn't have so much sentimental value to it.
Ah, well. High school was fun for me because I would wear things I would never wear today, and I was known as wearing wacky stuff. Plus, I would never shave my head now.

I tag everyone who wants to participate!
